Our Mission

The Mission of our organization is to provide youth to experience the sport of Fishing and their surrounding environment in an educational setting. We intend to provide the opportunity for needy local children to attend The Fishing Academy through our sponsorship programs. It is the hope of this corporation to teach life skills, such as the value of teamwork and goal setting, so that the children leave each day with a sense of accomplishment. We also place an emphasis on
the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse to our participants.

Our Summer Program takes the children fishing all over the state, Concord, Framingham, Natick, Plymouth, Marshfield, Westwood, Malden, Falmouth, Hyannis, Gloucester and out to various islands in the Boston Harbor. The participants get to experience both fresh and salt water while also learning about important environmental issues that affect the fisheries. We also have a series of lobster pots in the Harbor and teach the children about baiting, pulling, measuring and safely releasing them back into the ocean.
